Not all musical instruments are made of metal, essentially. During the olden days, before metal was widely industrialized, we actually made musical instruments our of wood, as it is easy to obtain during the time. Take a lute as an example. You may not heard of it before, but it is one of the oldest instrument known to mankind. Woodwinds are as it says, made of wood, and as an example, a clarinet, oboe, bassoon (although it may not look like it because it is laquered), and flutes were originally made of wood, and don’t forget the strings section of the orchestra (violin, viola, [vioin]cello, and contrabass). Now, in the modern days, we have guitars, bass guitars, banjos, and even drums, are either made of wood, or has wood components in them. If you don’t believe me, look it up.
I hope this helps.
