all of different 60 pills contain atlist one of the vitamins A, B and C 12 have A only, 7 have B only and 11 have C only. if 6 have all vitamins and there are x have A and B, B and C, and A and C only .how many pills have A only calculate the value of x​

you have accounted for 12+7+11+6 pills = 36 pills

so that leaves 60-36 = 24 pills that have two vitamins.

since there are the same number with each of the other three possibilities, that means there are 8 pills that are A&B and 8 that are A&C.

so the # pills that have vitamin A are:

A only = 12

A&B = 8

A&C = 8

A&B&C = 6

total = 34 pills that contain vitamin A
