All of the following effect the direction of wind motion except gravity and location of high and low pressure areas.

1. The gravitational force of earth compresses the atmosphere and creates the driving force of wind.

2. Earth's rotation produces another component of force called Coriolis component which changes the direction in which the wind blows.

3. Friction has the affect of opposing the direction of wind and also changing it's speed.

4. While pressure doesn't directly affect the wind's direction air pressure influences the speed and direction of wind.
