All of the following statements are correct about
neurotransmitters except
(1) An excitatory neurotransmitter depolarizes the
post-synaptic neuron's membrane, bringing the
membrane potential closer to threshold.
2)An inhibitory neurotransmitter hyperpolarizes the
membrane of the post-synaptic neuron, moving
it farther from threshold.
(3) Neurotransmitter is removed from the synaptic
cleft by enzymatic degradation or cellular uptake.
(4) Only excitatory neurotransmitters are present in
CNS & inhibitory in PNS.

Answer:

Option 4 is wrong one

Reason:

As excitatory neurotransmitters are responsible for generation of active membrane potential while the othee inhabit it...We all know that when we touch something its sensation goes through neurons to the brain by PNS. So these neurons are also excited. And hence yhe excotatory neurotansmitters are also present in PNS.
