All of us know that, the value of π is defined to be the ratio of the circumference of a circle divided by the diameter, but can we define it as the ratio of area of a circle (πr²) divided by (r²). If yes, then how ?

Yes you can. But the main principal is circumference divided by diameter. Because in circumference /diameter we get as pie*diameter/diameter. Both diameters get cancelled. Same happens in area of circle /square of radius. r*r gets cancelled with r*r in the denominator. But the first concept is pretty basic.
