Answer:

A hailstorm had ruined Lencho's ( the speaker's crops). Lencho was a farmer and his only source of income was his crops. He said, “All our work, for nothing” as all his hardwork done to grow his crops had gone in vain. He said that “There’s no one who can help us” because he felt helpless. He said "We’ll all go hungry this year.” because he knew he would not have food as his crops were ruined.

Answer

The speaker said this since he knew he wouldn't be able to feed himself because his crops had been ruined.

Explanation

" All our labour, for nothing," he remarked, as all his sweats to cultivate his crops had been in vain. Because he felt helpless, he remarked," There is no bone

who can help us."" We will each go empty this time," he added, knowing he wouldn't have food because his crops had been destroyed.

Throughout the night, Lencho reflected on his one stopgap the backing of God, whose eyes, as he'd been told, see everything, including what's deep in one's heart." God, if you do not help me, my family and I'll be empty this time," he wrote.
