 Popular dissatisfaction and criticism : 
It has focused on four areas in the working of political parties, need to face and overcome these challenges in order to remain effective instruments of democracy:
(1) Lack of internal democracy within parties.
(2) Dynastic succession. Growing role of money and muscle power in parties. (3) There is not a meaningful choice to the voters.

1) The political parties lack internal democracy. They don't hold regular party meetings, internal elections.

2) Top leaders of party often give ticket to their family members or close aids even if they have no experience in political field.

3) Involvement of muscle and money to win elections.Criminals are often given ticket to participate in elections.

4) No meaningful choices to voters,as all parties have very similar thought and policies.
