Answer: The price of the designer dress should be Rs. 630.

Explanation:

According  to the value-added approach,

Price of the dress = total cost + value added

Given, cost of silk = Rs. 400

cost of accessories = Rs. 30

∴total cost price = 400 + 30 = 430

value added = Rs. 200

∴Price of the dress = total cost + value added

= 430 + 200 = 630

Hence the price of the designer dress should be Rs. 630.

Answer:

Price of dress is 630 Rs. (Option a )

Explanation:

  • In Context  to the given question we have to find the actual price of the designer dress
  • The total Price of the dress will be the summation pf cost price of the dress and value added by all plus
  • i.e. Price of dress = Cost price(C.P) + value added [ eq. 1]

given;

silk cost = Rs. 400

accessories cost =  Rs. 30

value added by all plus = 200 Rs.

  • Cost price of the dress = silk cost + accessories cost
  • Cost price of the dress = 400 + 30 = 430 Rs.

Now by substituting the value in eq. 1 we get,

Price of dress = 430 + 200

Price of dress = 630 Rs.

Therefore, the price of the designer dress should be Rs. 630.
