Question-1) Radhika sells a washing machine for Rs 8800 at a loss of 20% . what was the price at which she bought it ?

Solution-1)

Sp = 8800

loss% = 20%

To find = CP

cp =  \frac{(sp \times 100)}{100  -  (\%l)}  \\ cp =  \frac{8800 \times 100}{80}  \\ cp =  \frac{8800 \times 10}{8}  \\ cp = 1100 \times 10 \\ cp = rs \: 1100

Ans: ₹ 11,000

Question-1)(or) Sunita takes a lone of ₹7000 at 3.5% per year as rate of simple interest. find the amount to be paid at the end of second .

Solution-1)

P = 7000

R = 3.5% p.a

T= 2 years

si \:  =  \frac{p \times r \times t}{100}  \\ si =  \frac{7000 \times 3.5 \times 2}{100}  \\ si =  \frac{70 \times 35}{10}  \\  =  7\times 70 \\  = 490 \\ amount = p  + si \\ amount = 7000 + 490 \\ amount = 7490

Ans1(or) 7490

3 \frac{3}{7}  \div  \frac{8}{21}  \times  \frac{1}{21}   = \\  \frac{24}{7} \times  \frac{21}{8}  \times  \frac{1}{21}  =  \frac{3}{7}

 \frac{0.06764}{0.19}  = 0.356
