Rules of trapezium -

Definition-

A trapezium, also known as a trapezoid, is a quadrilateral in which a pair of sides are parallel, but the other pair of opposite sides are non-parallel.

Area-

The area of a trapezium is computed with the following formula: Area = 1 2 × Sum of parallel sides × Distance between them .

Perimeter-

Remember that perimeter is the measure of the outer edge of a shape, or otherwise, the sum of the measures of the sides of the trapezoid. Representing the perimeter by P, and the sides as a, b, c and d, our formula is P = a + b + c + d.

Diagonals-

The formula for the length of diagonal uses the Pythagoreon Theorem: \displaystyle AC^2 = AE^2 + EC^2, where is the point between and representing the base of the triangle.
