install anti virus software if it is not there and scan all the files

Its a virus. Try removing via antivirus software such as "MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS (FREE)", AVAST ANTIVIRUS (FREE), ESET TOTAL SECURITY (PAID), NORTON OR SYMANTEC.

Alternatively, if u have installed any unknown software or some software from unusual site, try removing it via Programs and Features or try System Restore.

1. Uninstall VLC Player.

2. Run CCleaner

3. Reboot your computer.

4. Now install VLC media player
