Let me give you an explanatory answer for this question of whether all the columns in a table will be of uniform width:
By default, when you draft a table, all the columns and rows will be of uniform width and height. However, fortunately, MS Word and other word processors provide the perk to have the width or height of a single row or column or even a group of rows or columns altered individually.
• You can do this by hovering your cursor over the table cells
• Select the required cells and then go to the Layout tab, in the Cell Size group, click in the Table Row Height or Table Row Width and you can set the custom size of your selected cells in the table.
