Timeline of Nationalism in India

▶ 28th July , 1914 - 28 th June , 1919 - The First World War took place .

▶ October 17 , 1917 - the All India Khilafat Movement was observed .

▶ November , 1919 - The All India Khilafat Conference was organized .

▶ August 31 , 1920 - the Khilafat Non Cooperation movement started .

▶ 1921 - the Ali Brothers were arrested .

◼ Gandhiji started the Non cooperation movement because he did not want to cooperate with the British .

▶ February 1919 - The Rowlatt passed two Bills .

▶ March , 1919 - The Rowlatt Act was passed .

◼ Rowlatt act was passed to curb the growing upsurge in the country .

▶ April 13 , 1919 - The Jallianwalla Bagh Massacre took place .

◼ The Amritsar military Commander order to open fire at the peaceful crowd who had assembled to protest against the arrest of leaders .

▶ 1919 - Boycott of elections .

▶ 1918 - Ahmedabad Satyagraha took place .

▶ 1917 - the Champaran Satyagraha took place .

▶ 1918 - Kheda Satyagraha took place .

▶ 1921 - The Guerrila Movement started in the Gudem Hills of Andhra Pradesh .

1920 - The peasants movement was spreading in Awadh also .

▶ February 5 , 1922 - the Chaura Chaura incident .

▶ February 12 , 1922 - Gandhiji withdrew the Non Cooperation movement .

▶ March 10, 1922 - Gandhiji was arrested .

▶ November 1927 - the Simon Commission arrived in India .

▶ February 3 , 1928 - an All India Hartal was organised .

◼ The Commission was greeted with black flags all over the country .

▶ 1929 - The Lahore Session of Congress .

▶ 6 th April 1930 - the Dandi March

▶ 1930 - 31 - The First Round Table Conference

▶ March , 1931 - Gandhi Irwin Pact .

▶ 1931 - the Second Round table Conference .

▶ 1932 - the Third Round Table Conference .

▶ 1934 - the Civil Disobedience movement was called off .
