All the love boats took sail,
And all those love boats sank deep.
I started wondering what if we fail?
Will we be able to take the leap?
But suddenly he grabbed my hands and said,
"Trust me it will be alright".
"Because even if we sink, I'll hold you close and never let you go out of my sight".
I still hesitated to hold onto him ,
Grabbed his arms in fear.
He said " keep your eyes closed, and open them only,
when I tell you that we are here".
I replayed the happy moments we shared,
As we got on the boat.
I knew that I wasn't the only one who's scared.
As I sensed his hands turn cold.
We started sailing in that unforgiving sea,
I held him close from behind,
As the cruel waves started testing me,
Giving me second thoughts and ,
Messing with my mind.
I take a step closer to him and say " lord if you don't want us together,
then blow me away "
"Far away from him ,
Where I can't see his smile.
Nor hear his voice,
Calling me "mine" ".
Suddenly the winds became quite and so did the seas,
The cold winds that took control a while back ,
Grew into a gentle breeze.
He pulled me towards him and kissed me on my hand,
He whispered " open your eyes my love , as we have finally reached land."
I slowly open my eyes to see,
A beautiful smile that had been awaiting me.
He said that we were finally together and free,
As I brushed his sunset lips and said
" Darling we wrote our own destiny"
