Area of the rectangle is 288 cm ²

Step-by-step explanation:

ABCD is a rectangle

now, using

area of square = (side)²

area of square AOKL = (8) ² = 64 cm ²

area of square LKJD =  (8) ² = 64 cm ²

area of square PEFG = (2)² = 4 cm ²

area of square  ONMP = (4)² = 16 cm ²

area of square  FHME = (2)² = 4 cm ²

area of square  NBIH = (6)² = 36 cm ²

area of square  GCIJ = (10)²= 100 cm ²

now ,

area of rectangle = sum of area of all the squares

= 64+ 64+ 16+4 +4+36 +100

= 288 cm ²

hence , Area of the rectangle is 288 cm ²
