all the variations in speceies do not have equal changes of survival.why?
Answers
Hello mate!
Here ur answer...
Some variations may not be beneficial to the organism and may not help to continue its existence in the specific environment.
Let’s assume that a bush had green beetles that camouflaged with the leaves and hence were not eaten by the crows... but, during reproduction, a variation occurred in the colour of the beetle... a blue beetle took birth.. but this variation did not help the beetle to survive.. the blue colour couldnt camouflage with the green colour of the bush... hence more noticeable by the crows... this reduced its chances of survival.
All variations can’t have equal chances of survival, as not every characteristic is suitable in every environment, and in certain environments, the organism can develop a variation harmful to it... hence reducing the chances of survival..
Hope my answer satisfies u!
Good day!
