Given:

The length of train = 100 m = 0.1 km

The length of bridge = 2 km

The velocity of train = 72 km / hr

To Find:

The time taken by the train to cross the bridge.

Calculation:

- The total distance train has to cover to cross the bridge = The length of train + The length of bridge

⇒ Distance = 2 + 0.1 = 2.1 km

- Time taken = Distance / Velocity

⇒ T = 2.1 / 72

T = 0.029 hour

T = 1.75 minute

T = 105 seconds

- So, the train will take 105 seconds to cross the bridge.
