in all chordates notochord is present which may convert into vertebral column so we can say that all vertebrates are chordates but as we know it is not necessary that they will make vertebral column so we can say all chordates are not vertebrates....

All vertebrates are Chordata but all Chordata are not vertebrates. Comment?

ANS:- VERTEBRATES
===============

These are animals that have backbone
€. They include mammals,birds,reptiles,amphibians,and fish

INVERTEBRATES
===============

€. These are animals that doesn't have backbone

€. They include arthropod,insects , jellyfish etc .

The characteristics features of this phylum Chordata include the presence of a notochord and a paired pharyngeal Gill silts

In the sub phylum of a vertebrates,the notochord present in the embryo gets cartilageneous in adults.but in cephelochordates , Notochord persists throughout their life .

€. IN UROCHORDATA,NOTOCHORD IS PRESENT ONLY IN LARVAL STAGE AND IT IS ABSENT IN ADULT

HENCE ALL VERTEBRATES ARE CHORDATAS BUT ALL CHORDATAS ARE NOT VERTEBRATES
