Explanation:

HARDY WEINBERG EQUATION :-

=> p + q = 1

     where p is frequency of dominant allele [here D]

                 q is frequency of recessive allele [here d]

=> p² + 2pq + q² = 1

    where p² is frequency of individual DD

              2pq is frequency of individual  Dd

               q² is frequency of individual dd

given in the question,

p = 0.8 [allele D]

DD = ?

Dd = ?

dd = ?

=>p + q = 1

  q = 1 - p

  q = 1 - 0.8

  q = 0.2

DD = p² = (0.8)² = 0.64

Dd = 2pq = 2(0.8)(0.2) = 0.32

dd = q² = (0.2)² = 0.04

hope it helps..!
