alloy is a mixture as its constituents retain their properties..but if we talk about steel which is made of iron doesn't have the property of magnetism whereas in brass which is made up of copper n zinc doesn't conduct electricity..why??

All metals conduct electricity because the metallic crystal structure allow the electrons to move not to bound a specific atom.Brass have an electrical conductivity much less than pure metal. So brass is a conductor bt not a Gud conductor.
Hope this helps
