Explanation:-

Alloys :- The homogenous mixture of two or more metals and non - metals is called alloys.

Example :- Nichrome, Steel, Bronze etc.

Alloys are used in electrical heating devices because of the following reasons :-

  • They have high melting and boiling points.

  • They don't oxidize readily at high temperatures.

  • Their resistivity is maximum so they can resist the flow of electric current and produces heating effect.

However, In cases of pure metals they have least resistivity and a large amount of current passes through it cause melting of wires.

hence, alloys are used in heating elements or gadgets rather than pure elements.

Answer:

Alloys:

Alloys are the combinaton of metals with other non-metallic elements.

Examples:

Steel, Bronze etc......

"Alloys are used in electrical heating devices rather than pure metal."

Yes, Its true.

Reason:

We know that, Alloys are the combination of one or more metals.

We also know that, Metal are the best conductor of metal and heat.

That's why alloy used in electrical heating devices.

⇒Alloys don't burn at the high temperature.

⇒Alloy provide more restivity than a pure metal.

Hence,

Alloys are used in electrical heating devices rather than pure metal.
