Alluvial soil is found in the river deltas of the eastern coast. it's three main features are-
1. consists of various proportion of sand, silt and clay.
2. the region there is densely populated.
3. ideal for growing paddy,sugarcane and other cereals.

→ These soils also extend in Rajasthan and Gujarat though a narrow corridor .
→ Alluvial soil is also found in eastern coastal plains particularly in deltas of The Mahanadi , The Godavari , The Krishna and The Kaveri rivers .
