Alluvial soils in India is created primarily due to the sit deposits with the help of the Indo-Gangetic-Brahmaputra river line.

Due to the wave actions, these coastal regions receive a lot of alluvial deposits.

The soil is porous thus making a way for drainage.

It is hence applicable to agricultural uses.

They are found in many places making it the best-suited soil for agriculture.

Hence population is more and dependent on food from agriculture supported by Alluvial soil.
