Subject: Advantages and disadvantages of Internet use by children

Sir,

With prolonged imposed lockdown, this letter intends to bring forth the advantages and disadvantages of Internet use by children. The lockdown witnessed an increased use of gadgets along with the internet.

The benefits are unarguably good like a continuation of education, increasing creativity in addition to inculcating good habits. But they are accompanied by disadvantages like the use of prohibited websites, addictive use of the internet that hampers daily life.

Unfortunately, disadvantages seem to overweight the advantages of the internet for children. In my opinion, parental controlling and monitoring along with polite and practical teaching can help them regulate the usage.
