For faster typing, it's recommended to put left hand fingers on A S D F and 
right hand fingers on J K L ;
While left Index finger pointing on F and right Index  finger on J. Then there are recommendations for almost every key, including the numeric keys on top. For example, H should be pressed with right index finger, Q with left pinky(smallest) finger etc. These recommendations are based on the easiness and shortest time duration to reach to that key. It also helps you to type faster and accurately without looking at the keyboard.
