almunium is more reactive than iron yet there is less corrosion of aluminium as compared to iron when both are exposed to air

because
1.when aluminium is exposed to air the layer of oxide formed outside the aluminium object protect s it from further corrosion

2.but when iron starts corroding the layer formed outside does not protect it.
