AlN - Aluminium nitride

H2O – Water

Products:

Al(OH)3 – Aluminium hydroxide

NH3 - Ammonia

Type of Reaction:

Double Displacement

Equation of Balance:

AlN + 3H2O → Al(OH)3 + NH3

1 mole of Aluminum Nitride [AlN] reacts with 3 moles of Water [H2O] to form 1 mole of Gibbsite [Al(OH)3] and 1 mole of Ammonia [NH3] .
