⭐⭐ Hey mate ⭐⭐

Here is the answer :-

let the present age of Alok's son be X .

Then,

His age = 4x .

8 years ago :-

Son's age = X - 8

His age = 4x - 8

According to the question :-

12(x - 8) = 4x - 8 ,

here we multiply 12 by the age of son because there is a equality sign between the equations that shows both the equations are equal . so in order to make the equation equal be multiplied 12 by the age of the Son .

=> 12x - 96 = 4x - 8

=> 12x - 4x = 96 - 8

=> 8x = 88

=> x = 11

We supposed the present age of his son is X and the value of X , so the son's age is 8 years .

Alok's age = 4x = 4 × 8 = 32 years .

Hope it will be helpful...
