Answer:

Ratio between the investment of Alok and Chandan

= (75000 x 12) : (60000 x 9)

= 900000 : 540000

= 90 : 54 = 5 : 3

Total profit = Rs. 16000

∴ Chandan's share = [3/(5 + 3)] x 16000

= Rs. 6000

Given :- Alok started a business investing Rs. 4500. After 3 months, Prabhat joined him with a capital of Rs. 6000.

After another 6 months, Anuj joined them with a capital of Rs. 9000. At the end of the year, they made a profit of Rs. 2000.

To find :- What would be Anuj's share in it ?

Answer :-

from data we have,

  • Alok invested Rs.4500 for 12 months .
  • Prabhat invested Rs.6000 for (12 - 3) = 9 months .
  • Anuj invested Rs.9000 for (12 - 3 - 6) = 3 months .

so,

→ Profit Alok : Profit Prabhat : Profit Anuj = (4500*12) : (6000*9) : (9000*3) = 540 : 540 : 270 = 2 : 2 : 1 .

let profit of Alok , Prabhat and Anuj is 2x , 2x and x respectively .

A/q,

→ 2x + 2x + x = 2000

→ 5x = 2000

→ x = Rs.400 (Ans.)

Hence, share of Anuj will be Rs.400 .
