Given, α = - 6 and β = - 11
Now,
α + β = - 6 - 11 = - 17
αβ = ( - 6 ) ( - 11 ) = 66
The required quadratic equation is –
p ( x ) = k [ x² - ( α + β )x + αβ ]
p ( x ) = k [ x² - ( - 17 )x + 66 ]
p ( x ) = k [ x² + 17x + 66 ]
Put k = 1
p ( x ) = x² + 17x + 66
Now,
α + β = - 6 - 11 = - 17
αβ = ( - 6 ) ( - 11 ) = 66
The required quadratic equation is –
p ( x ) = k [ x² - ( α + β )x + αβ ]
p ( x ) = k [ x² - ( - 17 )x + 66 ]
p ( x ) = k [ x² + 17x + 66 ]
Put k = 1
p ( x ) = x² + 17x + 66
