Alpha particle scattering experiment was possible by using gold foil only and not by foil of any other material ?why?

alpha particle experiment in gold foil is used to find nucleus in an atom.this is because gold I mean aurum( Au) has a poisitive ion .Au+3. we can use any other foil with poisitive charge.

In the α-scattering experiment, a gold foil was taken because gold is malleable and a thin foil of gold can be easily made.

It is difficult to make such foils from other metals.
