THIS EXPERIMENT IS DONE BY RUTHERFORD
HE TAKE α PARTICLE AND THROW THEM TOWARD A VERY THIN SHEET OF GOLD.
OBSERVATION :- 1) MOST OF α PARTICLES GO STRAIGHT WITHOUT SHOWING ANY DEVIATION OR DON'T CHANGE THEIR PATH.
2) SOME α PARTICLE SHOW DEVIATION OR DEFLECT BY A LARGE ANGLE.
3) VERY VERY FEW α PARTICLE DEFLECTED BACKWARDS AS ONE IN EVERY 12000 PARTICLE SHOW DEFLECT.
NOW CONCLUSION,
1) MOST OF THE SPACE IN GOLD ATOM IS EMPTY AS MOST OF THE α PARTICLE GO STRAIGHT WITH ANY DEFLECTION.
2) VERY FEW PARTICLE DEFLECTED BACKWARD SHOWING THAT POSITIVE PARTICLES IN ATOM CONTAIN VERY FEW SPACE.
LIKE A EXAMPLE OF THESE POSITIVE PARTICLE LIKE A FOOTBALL AND A FOOTBALL STADIUM.
