Answer:HERE YOU GO

While reading acts 1-3 I had already started jumping to conclusions about how acts four and five would end in regards to Ferdinand and Miranda’s love affair. I would have never thought that Ferdinand and Miranda would end up getting married because Ferdinand was the only man that Miranda had ever seen other than her father. This is how I would’ve expected acts four and five to go. Although Ferdinand is the only guy Miranda has ever seen, that is not the case for Ferdinand. He has had experience and Miranda is nothing different than any other woman Ferdinand has seen before. Prospero not approving of Ferdinand and Miranda only makes Miranda want Ferdinand more. She starts secretly seeing Ferdinand. Ferdinand being experienced, he expects her to give up her virginity to him, which is exactly what Prospero told her not to do. Like any teenager, being forbidden and told to not do something, makes Miranda want to do it even more. Ferdinand tells Miranda he loves her and wants to be with her whenever they can win over Prospero’s blessing. Miranda believes Ferdinand and says she loves him back and they talk about marriage. Knowing it won’t be soon, Miranda decides to give her purity to Ferdinand. Prospero assumes Miranda is seeing Ferdinand against his wishes and he and Ariel use their magic to spy on the couple. Prospero catches Ferdinand and Miranda sleeping together and is furious. Prospero uses his other plans and magic to ruin everyone else’s evil plots so he can leave the island and return to be the rightful Duke of Milan. Instead of everyone leaving the island with him, Prospero refuses to let Ferdinand leave the island with him. He also frees Ariel and Caliban, so there is nobody left to even teach Ferdinand how to survive on the island alone. Ferdinand’s punishment for taking Miranda’s purity was being stranded on the island, but Propsero had something different in mind for Miranda. She was then forbidden to not leave the castle in Milan. Prospero would find a husband fit for her, but she had no say in the matter. She would marry whoever Prospero could find for her, while they know she is not a pure woman. By not being pure, Miranda is going to have to settle for less than she would have deserved had she not obeyed her fathers orders. So instead of everyone living happily every after except for Caliban, everyone lives happily ever after except for Ferdinand and Miranda.
