Answer:

Bholi from book footprints without feet

A story by K.A. Abbas

Explanation:

Sulekha who due to her inability to speak properly and her bad appearance was called bholi a simpleton

Bholi was girl with low self confidence and barely spoke anything and evn if she use to speak she would stutter a lot which made her look bit funny and she was teased by other children too for this

Bholi due to all her traits wasnt given the deserved love and care by her parents. She was made to wear the hand me down clothes of her elder sisters.

Despite all these facts bholi nevr spoke in return to her parents for the behaviours done to her. Even when her marriage was set up with a very old man of around 50+ age she didnt react adversely and agreed with their decision.

This shows bholi's character of having a repsect for her parents and their decision in her life

Howevr when she saw her parents being disrespect by the man she was going to marry she immediately refused to marry him and decided to teach in the school she studied.

Hence. during her young period Bholi , which means a simpleton, was just opposite to her name bholi i.e she was very intelligent and self confident girl who had proper respect for her parents and herself too. She also resembled a typical daughters in indian society
