Answer: It can be both eco friendly and non eco friendly as per as the below statements.

Explanation: For Wool: Wool biodegrades naturally, so it doesn't accumulate in landfills and oceans. Wool still sheds fibres when its being washed, but the fibres break down naturally, without causing any harmful effects for the environment. Wool reduces waste to landfill as it decomposes in soil in a matter of months. It releases nutrients back into Earth and acts as a soil fertilizer. Although it seems wool is eco friendly it can also be non eco friendly. This can happen when the rearers rear the wool from the sheep they may breathe a bacteria called bacillus antracis. The chemicals present in the dye can also cause respiratory diseases.

For Silk : silk is considered a more sustainable fiber. It is a renewable resource, can be biodegraded, and uses less water, chemicals, and energy than many other fibers. Silk is a renewable resource and 100% biodegradable with very less impact on the environment than other fabrics. Silk is, in the category of textile fibres, a natural fibre, highly sustainable is organic and recyclable. Recycled has excellent characteristics of silk intact.as most of the silk is made in hot climates in Asia, it also requires large amounts of energy for air conditioning. According to the Higg Index, silk has by far the worst impact on the environment than any textile because the production of silk increases in the volume of green house gases and also coal is decreasing as they use coal for boiling the water and for steam production in the silk factory.
