Although Diamond is Covalent, yet it has high melting point. Why?

Hey MATE!

Diamond and other allotropes of carbon are all exceptions in non-metals .

Diamond has a rigid 3-D structure which makes it the hardest substance on Earth.

It's structure with one C atom joined with another 4 C atoms is responsible for very high Melting point and Boiling point.
