Although Indian citizens have the right to equality , the government gives special benefits to some of the citizens . Why is this allowed ?

Those citizens are the special cast and special tribes. And in our country not everyone is getting the equal rights completely, people are still discriminating each other on the basis of caste, creed, religion and gender.
Which is why the government gives them special benefits.
If you are a school going student, then you must have seen your teacher distribute distributing few forms which ask about what is your tribe or caste or religion so that you get the special benefits given by the government, if you are applicable for that.
