She was a good friend of mine (whom we’ll call Dina) and still remains so to this day. In fact prior to us being roommates, she took my vi rginity (such as it was).
She wanted to get out of her parents’ house and out from under their failure to enforce rules to her siblings or really anyone they invited into their home. Knowing I had a ton of room in the house I was renting at the time. she asked me if she could move in, and I agreed, easily.
I had a girlfriend at the time and she knew of Dina, and wasn’t thrilled, but knew the rent I would be charging her would help me out.
Then my best (male) friend and my girlfriend came to me and said they were having feelings for each other. It was a lot of young adult drama and angst and such, but in the end, she wanted to not be exclusive so as to not lead me on, etc, yadda yadda. What choice did I have but to agree? Being a pri(k about it wasn’t going to make her forget about him, so I let go.
As you might guess, I was pretty upset about it. Dina, above all else, was a good friend, so tried to comfort me. She invited me to her room to snuGgle and talk, which we’d done a ton of times before and it never led to anything sexual - just the kind of friendship we had.

We had our fun, and kind of went back to being roomies/friends after that. And I ended up back with my girlfriend, since I knew my friend was so possessive and jealous that he’d eventually hang himself with his own rope.
