although nicola and jacopo were young boys the author refers to them as 2 gentlemens . why do you think that he do so?

Because the boys were doing such a great job which most of people fail
s to do at this age he was just just a young boy and he sells wild strawberry at the corner's of verona and the next day he was presented as a shoeshine boys and at night selling the newspaper for treatment of his sister . It was not easy at all to collect money by this way. That is why in the narrator' s eyes the boys were 2 gentleman of Verona.

nicola and jacopo were young boys but author refers him as gentleman because of their sincerity selfless action,maturity ,devotion. the both boys faced many of the tragedy in their lives .but that tragedy does not broken their spirits the maturity they display is far beyond their years.they give new elevation to human values which ultimately give promise for better hope for human society.
these values are only highlighted by gentleman.that"s why narrator erected him as a two gentleman of verona
