yet after the independent many things have changed many factors are there that effect the literacy with respect to gender.....
1.For women around the world, access to the news remains a continuing challenge. Adding to the task is the fact that women face literacy rates far lower than men, particularly in rural areas Despite the prevalence of the Internet and mobile phones - in both developed and developing nations - illiteracy is a major factor in how women receive information - or don't.
2.mainly in schools, colleges and other studie campaign...we mostly find men,and a little bit of women but we never find the other gender(gays) due to certain things and the human likes.....we never gave them the rights what they have....they to have the right to study, they to have the right to do job, they have all other rights as boys and girls.....this main factor is never observed.....
hope this helps you.......
