The COPRA Act (Consumer Protection Act) is enacted for protecting and promoting the interests of of consumers against the immoral and unfair trade practices.
Even though there were many Acts that emphasised a similar aim they were still void of those legal systems that were to be established in order to reach the aim. Hence the COPRA Act was enacted in order to establish the needed legal systems. They established a 3 tier Semi-Judicial System which helped in the redressal of consumer disputes in Regional , State And National levels.
