This supplement to Volume 21 of the Journal of Plantation Crops embodies the Proceedings  

of the Tenth Plantation Crops Symposium (PLACROSYM-X) held at the Central Plantation Crops  

Research Institute, Kasaragod from 2-12-1992 to 4-12-1992, under the auspices of the Indian Society  

for Plantation Crops. This Symposium was organized by the CPCRl in collaboration with the UPASl  

Tea Research Institute, Central Coffee Research Institute, Indian Cardamom Research Institute, National  

Research Centre for Spices, Rubber Research Institute of India and Tocklai Experiment Station. The  

Symposium has provided an opportunity for useful interaction among the scientists to help in updating  

the knowledge and in identifying future thrust areas in plantation crops covering all aspects.
