Alumina is extracted from Bauxite Al2O3.2H2O by Bayer's Process(in a chemical method).......Why can't Bauxite be only ignited to produce Pure alumina by removing water of crystallization???​

Now coming to your question, the reason why we can't simply turn bauxite ore to alumina because aluminium forms a really stable compound with oxygen therefore ordinary methods can't be used to concentrate alumina from bauxite ore.
