First you should write symbols acc. To the ques.
So, Al + CuCl2 ---------------> AlCl3 + Cu
Then balance it
=> 2Al + 3CuCl2 -----------> 2AlCl3 + 3Cu

Explanation:
A balanced equation is an equation in which there are equal number of both the reactant and product molecules.
For example,
Number of atoms on reactant side are as follows.
- Al = 1
- Cu = 1
- Cl = 2
Number of atoms on product side are as follows.
- Al = 1
- Cl = 3
- Cu = 1
Therefore, in order to balance the equation multiply Al by 2 and by 3 on reactant side. Whereas multiply by 2 and Cu by 3 on product side.
Thus, the balanced chemical equation will be as follows.
