Aluminium is a highly reactive metal. But why it is used for making utensils for cooking?

it is because aluminum forms a layer of oxide on it when it comes in contact with air

As aluminium is highly reactive it reacts with oxygen and form a layer of oxygen
which prevents further reaction and this aluminium is used to make utentiles
