You are right. but the main thing is aluminium is a good conductor of heat and when it get exposed to air it forms a layer of aluminium oxide which prevents it's from reaction. so it is used as a cooking utensil. ~^^

Ans). This is because Aluminium is good conductor of heat and electricity. to prevent its reaction with food at high temperature a protective layer of al2O3 formed which prevent further corrosiom.
