aluminium is a reactive metal but does not easily corrode as iron .give reason .

When aluminium reacts with oxygen it provides a thin protective layer known as aluminium oxide (Al2O3),Which prevents the surface from corrosion . Answer: ...Aluminium, on the other hand, does not corrode easily, because its surface is protected by a layer of aluminiumoxide.

because on coming in contact with air and moisture ( on corrosion) it develop a layer of aluminium oxide which is non reactive or unreactive as compared to iron.. so this layer protect it from further corrosion..so aluminium if one of the metal for which corrosion is helpful. .
