aluminium is highly reactive but aluminium +3 is not. give reason.

Since aluminium has 3 electrons in the outermost shell, it tries to donate electrons to attain a stable electronic configuration.

Aluminium ion has 8 electrons in the outermost shell and has thus attained a stable electron configuration. Thus it is not reactive.
