Aluminium is more reactive than iron but corrode less why

Al gets corroded to form aluminum oxide but it is hard and covers the surface of Aluminum which saves the remaining metal from getting corroded.
Iron gets rusted to form iron oxide which is not so hard,it gets off the surface and exposes lower Fe to rusting that's why Al appears to be saved from corrosion
