aluminium does not corrode because it makes athick layer of alluminium oxide around it which inhibits the contact between air and alluminium and prvent further corrosion
aluminium s top layer make contact with oxygen of air and form a thick hard covering and prevent further corrision
while in case of iron it corrodes and form a powdry substance called rust and donot form any layer which prevent corrision .so iron is less reactive but more prone to corrision
